Transpiration Experiment...Take 2

You all came up with some great ideas about different factors we could control in order to get more accurate data on transpiration!! What factors did we control in today's experiment? Do you think our class data will be more similar to one another tomorrow? What other tests would you like to perform?

Transpiration Experiment Data Collection

What factors affected the accuracy of the data you collected? What could you do next time to ensure that the data collected was an accurate reflection? How do you think the results would change if you left the bag on longer?

More on Acids and Bases

Were any of today's results surprising to you? Did the universal indicator give the same results as the pH paper? What other food or household items would you like to test and would you predict for them to be acids or bases?

Science Night Rocked!!!

Let me start by saying, you were all AMAZING!!! I have never been more proud of a group of students. Your enthusiasm was infectious and inspiring. You showed all of our guests the best of you, that I am privileged to see on a daily basis. Your knowledge of each investigation was impressive and your ability to explain what you learned appeared effortless and professional. I would like to thank all of you who gave up your lunches and after school time to prepare. All of your hard work was apparent. I am proud of the way you all came together and worked as a group to produce an amazing night that I will never forget.

I would also like to thank everyone that helped to make this night possible...All of your amazing parents for coming to support us, Ms.Tammy for cutting out ALL the letters for your posters, Mrs. Sherry and Mrs. Unkeless for helping to set up and promote our event, Mr. Smith for helping set up, Mr. Ramirez for helping to burn the slideshow onto discs, all the teachers who hung science night flyer in their rooms, Ms. Amy for making countless trips to the store, and the amazing clean up crew that had our room back in shape in 30 minutes! I can't wait to start preparing for our next science night!!! You all are fantastic!!!
