Plants use photosynthesis to make food. As their enemies get stronger,the plants find ways to defend themselves. Plants get food from the soil. If they do not get enough nutrients from the soil, they trap small animals. Some defenses plants have are spines, sharp points, poisonous oils, and height. Plants take in CO2 which we breathe out and let out O2 which we breathe in. Plants, believe it or not, are fairly smart.
