Leaf Classification

What are the 3 types of leaves we discussed today?  How do they differ from one another?

  1. The three typs of leaves we talked about today were called: parallel, pinnate, and palmate. The paralel one is parallel, the palmate one is like a oval, and the pinnate one is straight.

  2. The three leaves we classified today were the Palmate Leaf Venation, the Parallel Leaf Venation and the Pinnate Leaf Venation. These leaves differ from one another because the Palmate Leaf looks like a 5-point star, the Parallel Leaf Venation is a long strip of a leaf that has parallel leaf vanes, and the Pinnate Leaf Venation has 1 line going through the middle of the leaf with vanes sprouting out of it.

  3. The types are pinnate, palmate, and Parallel leaves. You can tell the difference because pinnate leaves have 1 main vein, palmate have 5 main veins and parallel leaves have parallel veins.

  6. The three plant groups were I think linear, elliptic,? They each were shaped different and had differently placed veins on the leaf they also had spikey and smooth edges.

  7. They are the parallel veins : where the veins go in the same direction
Thee is the pinnate : where there is one main vein and smaller veins coming off of it
Finally the palmate : there are five mAin roots and smaller ones coming off of it

  8. The three types of leaves were the palmate, parallel, and pinnate. The parallel is very skinny and has veins going in the same direction. The pinnate has one vein going down the middle and small veins are coming out of it. Lastly, the palmate has five main veins and small veins are coming out of them.

  10. They were palmate, pinnate, and parallel.
-parallel:all veins shoot up in same direction, oval shaped, point on top
-palmate:veins shoot in different directions, has five flaps, very spiny
-pinnate: many lined up leaves on sides, veins shoot on sides of each leaf
