Vital Lung Capacity

How did your vital lung capacity compare to me and your classmates?  What do you think smoking would do to someone's vital lung capacity?

  1. Mrs. Yates lung capacity went up to about 6.6 L and the rest of us got even lower than that like around
4-5.0. I think smoking would make someone's lung capacity be even less because makes your lungs very hard to get air and let out CO 2.

My vital lung capacity compared to you and my classmates by being smaller because I didn't blow much air in and air was being squeezed out. Smoking would effect lung capacity because the smoke would fill up your lungs and you would get a smaller lung capacity

  3. My vital lung capacity was 4.7 but some of my friends were 4.5-or below. I think if I smoked my lung capacity would've lowered to 1-+.

  4. I think I had a much bigger lung capacity than most of my classmates. I think smoking would give a smaller lung capacity because lots of ashes will fill up the lungs to make your lung capacity smaller.

  5. Everyone's lung capacity was lower than Mrs. Yates lung capacity. I think that smoking would be bad because It will effect your lungs and Its the same thing Alicia said. Smoking also kills you.

  6. My average was 3.7666666etc. liters which was quite similar to my classmates. My hypothesis is that smoking lowers vital lung capacity since smokers often have lung problems, and having a high lung capacity is definitely not a problem.

  7. My highest vital lung capacity was 3.9. This would compare to Mrs.Yates and my classmates because Mrs. Yates went up to 6.6 and that mine would be higher and lower than others. It would be higher and lower than others because some of my classmates can breathe for a longer time and the others can't blow into something for a long time. I think that smoking would make someone's lung capacity lower because smoking can mess up your lungs and it can prevent you from breathing.

  8. My lung capacity was larger than some students and smaller than some. It was small compared to Mrs. Yates. I think smoking will make your lung capacity smaller and it will kill you.

  9. My vital lung capacity is in the middle. I think smoking will affect the lungs by filling your lungs with smoke making your vital lung capacity smaller.

  10. My average vital lung capacity was 3.4 liters. My lung capacity is smaller than most and higher than some. I think smoking will make your lung capacity much smaller because it fills your lungs up with junk. You might have to get a pipe or something in your throat to help you breathe or you might die.

  11. My average vital lung capacity was16.0 liters. My lung capacity was smaller and greater than my group and others.I think smoking would damage your lungs very harshly. You could die from smoking. Smoking could also stop your lungs from functioning and it would make your lungs smaller.

  12. My vital lung capacity was 2.7.liters. My average capacity was smaller than others, but bigger than some of my classmates too.I think that smoking will fill your lungs with smoke and damage them.It will make your lung capacity smaller and it will be hard to breathe.

  14. My vital lung capacity was 2.5 liters it was in the middle of the group because some were very low and some were very high. I think that smoking could damage your lungs by making them smaller or making it so you could not be able to breath correctly or at all.
