Red Worms: Day 7

Great observations today 5th grade!!!  What is the importance of red worms in the ecosystem?

    The importance of a red worm is that it grinds down dead plants and animals so it is a decomposer and when the worm breaks down the dead plant or animal, it fertilizes the soil.

  11. Red worms importance to the earth is to help decompose natural litter and kitchen waste by eating the bacteria on them. They also fertilize soil and plants by secreting casting which is moist and water the plants and soil.
