Explain why, as a class, the mass of the salt increased.
Hello my wonderful students!!! Listen closely...are you listening??? This is your science teacher Ms. Yates. I know, I know. I just saw you a few hours ago. Remember the awesome reminders, updates, and fantasticness that I promised you?? It is here. Yep!! Right here. Remember to check it out daily. The rewards will be worth your time. Assignments that you forgot about or were absent for? Here!! Notes you may have missed?? Here too!!! Announcements?? Yep!! And, fantastic reminders of all the cool stuff we did today...All here and more!! See you tomorrow. Or Monday, if you are so awesome that you are reading this over the weekend.

ReplyDeleteThere was still water left in the evaporation dish.
THe salt traped the water

ReplyDeleteAs a class our salt multiplied because there was still some water in the tray.
the salt mass increased because there was still some water leftover

ReplyDeleteI think why the salt increased was because as the water was evaporating, the salt had more room to form, so the salt that dissolved, reappeared and formed salt crystals because it mostly just dried out. :)
I think why the weight increased was because the salt became bigger ad while it was bigger it gained mass and that is why it was heavier
ReplyDeleteI think that the salt crystals were heavy because not ALL of the water evaporated.

ReplyDeleteAs a class, the mass of the salt increased because not all the water evaporated. Water was trapped in the salt crystals, therefore increasing the mass of the salt.
The mass of salt probably weighed more because their was probably water left in the trays that made it heavier.

The mass of salt increased because we put water in the salt, so it increased the amount of mass.
ReplyDelete-Auhona:)
The mass of salt increased because the water mixed in with the salt and made the mass increase.

ReplyDeleteThe class got a bigger amount of salt because there was water under the salt crystals. The weight of the salt never really changed. That was a fun lab and I really enjoyed it.
SCIENCE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!
I have no idea what happened don't blame me I wasn't here???This lab was kind've fun because I only got to put the mixtures together for the rest of it me wasn't here. SSSSSSSSSCCCCCCIIIIEEEENNNNCCCCEEE ROOOOOOOCCCCKKKKKSSSSS anyway!!!!

ReplyDeleteThe class, as a whole, got a heavier amount of salt because there was still some water left in the tray, trapped under the salt crystals. When we measured the salt, there wasn't any water, but now there was.

ReplyDeleteThe water was mixed in with the salt

ReplyDeleteThe mass of the salt only increased because, the salt formed a more heavier solid. The salt formed into salt crysals and obviously the salt was lighter than the cyrsals just by 3 grams!
As a class, the mass of salt increased because not all the water evaporated. On the side, there was a bit of water left that hadn't been evaporated.

ReplyDeleteThe salt we had before had a lot more water in the beginning. At the end, the salt turned into crystalized salt and most of the water evaporated causing the salt to form into crystals.
