ReplyDeleteI think yeast enjoyed its Halloween treat because the bag puffed with CO2 bubbles.
hello this is Quinn and i learned that yeast likes sugar A LOT just like us
ReplyDeleteRachel
ReplyDeleteI think the yeast enjoyed it's Halloween treat. I can tell that it liked the candy because yeast activates when it has sugar. My evidence is that since it likes the sugar, it then breaks its dormancy and produces CO2 causing the bag to puff up. Also thank you for the treats. : p

ReplyDeleteI knew that Yeast needed sugar to brake it's dormancy from the start.(Investigation day 1) I could tell because in our first test we had teddy grams and it had 7 grams of sugar and the other groups had gold fish. My results were much higher than the gold fish group!! (Investigation Day 2) My group thought yeast would be active more with flour, but they wouldn't agree with my statement. I didn't care what they thought as long as they had a good explanation. Which they did. They results were amazing at the end!! I'm glad you are our new Science teacher!!!

ReplyDeleteHalloween treats activated the yeast the most, more than sugar cubes! Now we know how sweet candies really are. They are full of SUGAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So don't eat to much candy because it will really get you on a sugar high, if it activated the yeast more than true sugar cubes.
I think the pumpkin treat broke its dormancy. It is so sugary!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think the yeast enjoyed its Halloween treat because it did not puff up with carbon dioxide
ReplyDeleteI do not think that the yeast enjoyed it Halloween treat because the bag did not puff up with carbon dioxide I really think that if we put about five sugar cubes in the yeast the bag will not fit in the volume tube
ReplyDeleteSean B
I think the yeast liked its treats because it gave off a lot of carbon dioxide. That means that there is a lot of sugar in the Halloween treats.
ReplyDeleteSourav
