1. What happened to the bag?
2. What made the bag puff up like a pillow?
3. Where did the gas come from?
4. What did you find out by doing the reaction in a bag that you couldn't find out doing the reaction in a cup?
5. How much gas formed as a result of the reaction?
6. How does the volume of gas compare to the volume of substances you put into the bag?
7. How did the reaction differ between the 2 bagged experiment?
8. Which reaction produced more gas?
9. What happened when we put all 3 reactants in the bag and added water?

Hello my wonderful students!!! Listen closely...are you listening??? This is your science teacher Ms. Yates. I know, I know. I just saw you a few hours ago. Remember the awesome reminders, updates, and fantasticness that I promised you?? It is here. Yep!! Right here. Remember to check it out daily. The rewards will be worth your time. Assignments that you forgot about or were absent for? Here!! Notes you may have missed?? Here too!!! Announcements?? Yep!! And, fantastic reminders of all the cool stuff we did today...All here and more!! See you tomorrow. Or Monday, if you are so awesome that you are reading this over the weekend.
Hi you have to announce that the frogs died. Tomorrow me and 2 friends will meet you in the science lab at lunch. You can guess who I am of us. Here's a hint, I'm going to comment on fizzy
ReplyDelete1. It inflated from gas.
ReplyDelete2. The bag puffed up because of the gas from the chemical reaction.
3. The gas came from the reaction and the chemicals.
4. I found out how much gas was produced.
5. 1 liter or the full capacity of the bag.
6. When more substances are added the more gas forms.
7. Solution 1 was murky and had very little bubbles in it. Solution 2 was clear and had a lot of bubble sin it.
8. In my opinion solution 1.
9. The bag inflates so much that it popped.
Vocabulary:
Reactant: A substance that undergoes change in a reaction.
Product: A substance that is manufactured.
Reaction: A response to a situation or event.
Conclusion:
In this lab we tested what would happen if we mixed citric acid and baking soda and calcium chloride and baking soda. My hypothesis was that both bags were going to inflate and the water level would rise. Also, there would be fizzing. the results showed exactly what I said, accept solution 2 became clear and had bubbles in it. My hypothesis was mostly supported. I learned that small ziploc bag's capacity is 1 liter and that calcium chloride is a stronger acid than citric acid.

1. the bag puffed up
ReplyDelete2. the air pressure inside the bag
3.the gas came from the baking soda
4.i found out that it will expand. I cant find this in a cup cause there is openings in a cup
5.a lot of gas formed, I would say like 50 mg
6. it compares as being more
7.the first one was cold, the second warm
8.Bag 1
9. it puffed up but didn't pop
