Wheat Plants

Amazing observation today Savanna, Avni, and Deniz!  What caused this plant to have just one yellow spot?

  1. This plant has 1 yellow spot because some soil was stuck to the plant while it was growing. The spot where the soil was stuck, that spot didn't get any chlorophyll. That's why it's yellow.

  3. Their was a piece of dirt and when the plant was in the light, the dirt blocked the sunlight from turning the plant green.

  4. I believe that the cause of that yellow spot on the plant is because there was some soil stuck to that part. So, the chlorophyll couldn't make that part turn green because it was blocked.

  6. Soil got stuck on the plant and it continued growing but that part did not grow chloroplast. So that part of the plant is now yellow. Savannah:)
